Could theye trot out another hackneyed cliche? (BTW, Rudy Guiliani should be ashamed of himself. I am originally from NY and the best thing that ever happened to his career was 9/11.) Before this, I felt that McCain really resisted aligning himself with the extremists, has surely given in to the right wing, I guess they are stronger than his torturers in the POW camp…she is the epitome of the self-righteous, self-aggrandizing type of person (man OR woman) that is truly keeping this country from ever moving forward. She reminds me of the Reese Witherspoon character in the movie “Election”.

I have been around awhile, but am hard pressed to recall such polarization in our country…the name calling and derision on both sides is at an all-time high. I was voting for Obama anyway, but she really seals the deal. As a high school teacher and mom of two teenagers, my heart goes out to her daughter and the boyfriend (fiancee??), who are being sacrificed on the altar of Palin’s political ambition. As a citizen I am terrified of the thought of her as the new Dick Cheney.

I do want things to change…I know Obama has negatives, but I feel that he is a better shot at things being different, and, on a purely visceral level, when he speaks, I don’t feel like throwing up. Just my two cents.
